Welcome to my space! I’m Anna, founder of Momentum Pole & Aerial. While I might seem like a fresh face on the pole and aerial scene, there’s quite a tale behind my journey. I moved from the quaint Bavarian Alps to the UK at 19 with little more than £300 and a backpack. My path led me to via a PhD in Osteoarchaeology (yes, I’m a nerd and proud of it 🚨) to the vibrant pole and aerial arts world, first as a student, then an instructor, and finally as a business and studio owner.

My pole adventure started in 2010, inspired by a stripper friend’s awe-inspiring strength. Fast forward to launching Momentum in 2017 – a dream realised with some trusty borrowed 50mm poles and a ton of passion. Momentum is more than just a studio (yey!); it’s a thriving community with hundreds of students, dedicated teachers, and a spirit of generosity and support that keeps us all glued together.
Running a business is a rollercoaster, and I’m all about keeping it real (#transparencyinbiz). Momentum is a success story, but it’s also a narrative of constant learning, adapting, struggling, making mistakes and overcoming challenges. From countless business courses to hands-on experiences, every step since 2017 has been a learning curve.
My hopes for the business of pole and aerial go beyond the studio walls. Cue Pole and Aerial Arts Summit – my brainchild, aiming to unite, empower, and elevate those who work in the pole and aerial arts community. It’s a place to:
Outside the studio, I’m all about straps, pole, weightlifting, baking, and embracing some dangerous and high adrenaline stuff outdoors. My idea of bliss is a good fiction book and moments with my furry pal Bobby!
